This dress was created for the Hearts for Fashion event hosted by the American Heart Association and featured in a fashion show at the Mall of America. Inspiration was drawn from the colors of veins and arteries as well as the lines created by the circulatory system. The combination of fabrics keeps a traditional silhouette modern and wearable, but still luxurious. The structure of the bodice contrasts with the flowing movement of the skirt.
